The goal of this blog is to become a dynamical way of providing fast and updated useful information, to the user of the instrument OSIRIS at GTC, complementing the information provided by GRANTECAN S.A.
It contains information about the manuals, instrument calibration, pipelines for download, tutorials, contributions, announcements, etc. Also, some historical information about the integration, and commissioning of the different observing modes is provided as well.
This Blog is maintained by the OSIRIS Scientific Team.

New RTF calibration

RTF wavelength variation across the FOV

As in any filter in a non-telecentric beam, the central wavelength of the narrow band filter provided by the TF varies wrt the distance to the optical centre. The new instrument calibration provides a calibration for this effect with an accuracy of the order of the TF tuning accuracy (1A).
More details can be found here, and in the TF Manual.
